After having no game last weekend, the Brewers return to action on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways against Belper Town at the i2i Stadium.

Taddy will feel they have to win if they are going to have serious aspirations of making the play-offs with a number of sides breathing down their necks with intent. Last time out Joe Lumsden earned the Brewers a point against Cleethorpes ending the run of three games without a goal, a relief to all. Belper also played out a 1-1 draw at home as Piteu Crouz found the net against mid-table Frickley Athletic.

Belper themselves are also striving to be in the elusive top five come April 27th and they certainly aren’t out of the question of doing so. Grant Black’s side are one of seven teams within five points of the Brewers who hold the final play-off spot therefore we are definitely in for plenty of twists and turns in the second half of the season.

Having said that though, the Nailers have only been on the winning side twice in their last eight outings, both of which incidentally coming on the road at Carlton and Gresley respectively. They currently sit 9th in the Evo-Stik East League but a win here would see them move level on points with Tad, opening the division up even more. However if Taddy come out on top they’ll keep the pressure on sides above them waiting to leapfrog if any slip-ups are made.

Last Meeting: This turned out to be Albion’s 8th game unbeaten on their 13 game streak as goals from Billy Whitehouse, Paddy Miller and Joe Lumsden ensured a comfortable 3-1 victory in November.

One To Watch: Piteu Crouz – The former Brewer has been in good goalscoring form this season and did find the net from the spot in the first meeting this season.

Team News: Joe Lumsden and Pete Davidson have been struggling with knocks but both still likely to feature. Michael Ingham is closing in on a return. Josh Barrett (shoulder) to be out for several weeks following an operation.
