Tadcaster Albion/i2i Academy U21’s tore apart Goole United on Monday evening to make it two wins from two in the WRCFA Floodlit league.

Taddy gained complete control on the contest from the off and could have been two ahead inside six minutes, Paddy Wintie firing narrowly over on both occasions.

Goole were struggling to get out of their own half as the young Brewers dominated possession, kept the ball in the oppositions half and waited patiently for the perfect time to strike.

It was somehow still goalless after twenty minutes with Ryan Woodhead and Paddy Wintie both missing guilt edge chances to make their dominance count.

However Taddy did finally take a deserved lead in the 24th minute when Rob Hutton’s cross was precisely glanced into the bottom corner by Marcel Chigumira from eight yards out.

And it was two twelve minutes later as Paddy Wintie hammered into that same bottom left-hand corner from range leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

The floodgates then began to open as Taddy showed off their clinical and potent finishing by netting three goals in a rampant four minute spell.

Rob Hutton made it three with another long-ranged effort into the bottom left corner to all but kill the game off.

Goole would have been praying for half-time at this point but the Brewers were simply unstoppable as Marcel Chigumira marked his return to the side with a brace after finishing off a sublime solo effort.

It was 5-0 and game over before half-time as Rob Hutton also scored his second. Donald Chimalilo had the pace to beat his man and pull back to Hutton who delightfully let the ball roll across his body before side-footing past the hapless keeper.

Goole came out in the second half and displayed a much higher back-line but this didn’t help matters for the visitors as Taddy got in behind time and time again.

Credit to the United goalkeeper who kept out Wintie and Chimalilo at the start of the half. However the fresh legs of Sean Hunter provided the killer impact as he got himself on the score sheet five minutes after coming on.

The striker exploited Goole’s high back-line once more and he never looked back missing as he coolly stroked past the goalkeeper to make it six.

A handful minutes later and Sean Hunter made himself the third player to record a brace firing into the bottom right-hand corner from just inside the penalty area.

Despite the one-sided score line Goole never gave up and threw the towel in, continued to compete and fight for every ball but were just second best in every department.

Taddy finished off an emphatic performance with an eighth goal three minutes from time as substitute Charlie Birley turned in the rebound after Hunter’s strike was parried.

FINAL SCORE: Tadcaster Albion/i2i Academy U21’s 8-0 Goole United U21’s

Another extremely impressive display from the young Brewers who hold great potential.
