As they have on a number of occasions this season, Tadcaster started the game brightly and on the front foot. Donald Chimalilo got down the left-hand side and pulled the ball back for Eddie Church in the box but his heavy touch just forced him wide before a defender cleared.
Twelve minutes in Chimalilo was involved again, Corey Roper played a ball over the top for the winger who managed to work an opening and curled his effort into the hands of the keeper Ben Bottomley. That same combo would link up again a couple of minutes later, Roper sprayed a diagonal ball in behind for Chimalilo who attempted to lob the goalkeeper, but his effort cleared the bar.
Little after the quarter of an hour mark the Brewers pressed the hosts again; Marco Basic did well to win the ball, passed to Kieran Burton who galloped down the left and found Roper on the edge of the box but his left footed strike was off target.
Just before the half hour mark Frickley managed to create their first opening of the game; Joe Stacey found space on the left-hand side of the box but his cross into the six-yard box was brilliantly intercepted by Burton and then cleared away.
Kesi Omolokun would be the next man to produce a brilliant piece of defending to deny Brad Wells who was played in from a free kick but the Taddy defender stretched out a leg to block.
31 minutes in Basic produced a lovely back-heel to set Freddie Sass on his way, but the cross was intercepted as the hosts then launched a counter which Omolokun managed to step in and stop.
As the game neared half time Tad started to pick up the tempo and looked more dangerous moving forward, still without managing to create any clear goal scoring opportunities.
Harrison Davison-Hale who had been a spectator for the majority of the first 45 had an effort fired right at him on the stroke of half time as the sides went in level at the break.
On the 53rd minute the hosts took the lead, Tyler Williams delivered a deep cross for Kieran Wells who looped a header over Davison-Hale. 1 – 0.
Just three minutes later Frickley doubled their score, Brad Wells this time managed to find space in the box and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.2 – 0.
The Brewers struggled to break down a rigid Frickley defence as Paul Quinn turned to Jack Crook, Junayd Cassius-Gill and Des Amponsah to try and turn the tide.
With just over ten to go Romario Vieira fired from range, but his effort whistled just over the bar, that was more or less the first attempt Tad had created in the second half.
In the final minute Taddy created their best chance of the game, brilliant skill from Church before the striker fired across goal with Chimalilo lurking for a tap in, but a defender cleared just in front of him.
A tough defeat on the road for Tad who have a quick turnaround as they host Pickering Town on Monday at the Global Stadium, kick off at 1pm.
