The Brewers look to return to winning ways on Saturday after back-to-back defeats to Pickering and Morpeth made for a difficult festive period.
The successive single-goal losses has seen Albion slip to 4th in the Evo-Stik East Division, but still amongst the play-off places. This weekend’s opponents AFC Mansfield are enjoying contrasting fortunes of late winning their last two matches against Carlton Town and Lincoln United dragging them out of the dreaded drop zone.
Tadcaster could still end the afternoon back in second position but they would need to win and hope that Brighouse and Pontefract don’t get a result.
When the Brewers and the Bulls first met at the i2i Stadium back in early November, it took a stoppage time strike from Joe Lumsden to earn Taddy a point cancelling out Charlie Dawes’ early penalty.
After their 11-game unbeaten run came to an end of Boxing Day, Simon Collins’ side will be hoping for a reaction on Saturday after going two games without a goal. The Taddy boss isn’t deterred by the results though as the performances have still been of a high standard.
Team News: Michael Ingham (thumb) is eyeing up a return mid-January. Josh Barrett is to undergo surgery on Monday and will subsequently be out for several weeks.
