On Saturday The Brewers make the long trip to Nottinghamshire to face Rainworth Miners Welfare looking to extend their winning run to seven matches.
Taddy go into the game in top form winning their last six matches following a 33 day lay-off due to the horrendous winter floods.
Taddy currently sit in 2nd place in the NCEL Premier Division, level on points but behind on goal difference to leaders Worksop Town however, The Brewers hold a crucial three games in hand over The Tigers. In terms of the title race, Handsworth Parramore is the side that are looking Taddy’s biggest threat sitting just three points behind but having played the same amount of games.
The Wrens currently sit in 12th place in the NCEL Premier Division. A win for Rainworth could see them move up one place into 11th. They are currently suffering an inconsistency in form by winning two, drawing one and losing three in their last six outings.
Liam Morris is the Wrens’ clear talisman with an impressive 22 goals for the campaign putting him sixth in the NCEL Premier Division top scorer charts.
The two sides met for the first time this season back in September at the i2i Stadium where The Brewers had to work incredibly hard for the victory coming from behind twice to win 4-3 in a dramatic encounter. Paddy Miller gave Taddy an early lead before goals from Lewis Bingham and Jack Andrews saw The Wrens take a 17th minute lead. Josh Barrett levelled things up on the stroke of half-time but back came Rainworth with Lewis Bingham nudging the visitors in front once more. The home fans got behind The Brewers and roared them to victory in the second half with Jimmy Beadle powering in a free-kick and Dan Clayton slotting home a penalty kick.
Team News: After Liam Ormsby has performed superbly in an unnatural left-back position for the past two games, TAFC manager Billy Miller has a decision to make with Dan Clayton fit to start again. Matt Heath is also back in contention after recovering from an injury picked up at Pontefract.
Prediction: Rainworth Miners Welfare 1-3 Tadcaster Albion – There will be plenty of goals just like in the meeting at the i2i Stadium, Jimmy Beadle to steer his side to three points.
