On Saturday, The Brewers travel North up the A1 to play West Allotment Celtic in the Emirates F.A. Cup in the Preliminary Round. A win in this game is worth £1,441 and the chance to win more income in the next round, whilst the losers on Saturday get £481. The Brewers travel after successive 1-0 home wins to kick start their season with 2 goals by forward Lewis Stephens.

West Allotment Celtic play in the Northern League One, the same division that Redcar Athletic , who we beat in the last round play. That league is at the same level as our NCEL Premier. Last Saturday, they lost 2-1 at home to Guisborough Town in front of a crowd of 60. On Wednesday, they travelled to Crook Town and won 4-1. In the last round of the FA Cup, they won 5-1 away at Sunderland RCA. They are currently in 7th place in the table with 7 points from 5 games.

After a number of league games were played midweek, Knaresborough Town continue to lead the pack with 4 wins out of 4, but hot on their heels with 3 wins from 3 are Campion, Hallam and Penistone Church, whilst Albion Sports have 2 wins from 2. With the FA Cup and the Vase soon to start, the league table will look strange for a while as teams will have played a different number of games.

My prediction is a 2-1 away win for The Brewers in the FA Cup.
