Twenty-two year old Nathan, a local player, started his football career in the York City Academy before a move to Scarborough Athletic. The towering centre back joined us in November the year before last on loan, a move which was made permanent in time for the beginning of the current season.

His first game was in the away match at title chasing Beverley, played in pouring rain and ending in a 4 – 2 defeat. It was a baptism of fire for new defender, but Nathan acquitted himself admirably and immediately became a force to be reckoned with.

In his relatively short time with us, he was awarded the Man of the Match title on three occasions and at the end of the last campaign, Player of the Season.

Nathan has been very much a fans favourite at the club and during the summer months even helped with the repainting at the ground at Ings Lane.

He will be missed by all of us at The Young Guns Arena and we wish him every success in the future.
