Saturday's home game against Penistone Church is our first home game since we played Golcar United on December 21st 2024. Since then, our away league form has been mixed so today is a good chance to get an important win on home turf in front of our own fans.

The Church are having another consistent season and will be in the play off mix as the league season comes to its climax. They currently are one place out of the playoffs. Teams around them have games in hand, so they will be targeting 3 points today at Taddy to keep their play off challenge on track. They have finished in the top 6 of the league for the last 3 seasons, so know about going for the playoffs.

Back in late September, The Brewers got a rare away win away at Penistone Church with a goal by NCEL leading scorer Elliott Andrew, now at Beverley. The Church were top of the league as the teams went into the fixture. At the top end of the NCEL table, Silsden are looking strong, but Golcar United and maybe Thackley will have a say in things as the season comes to an end. Albion Sports have a number of games in hand, many of those at home, and a good run from them would see them get into the mix.

Penistone had a set back last weekend as they went down 2-1 at home to Campion, on the same day The Brewers were defeated at Parkgate.

The Brewers shouldn't have to wait so long for their next home fixture as they are playing Rossington Main at home in 2 weeks time. In between, they have a trip to Pickering Town next Saturday for a North Yorkshire local Derby. 3 points on Saturday could set us up for another good run like we did at the end of last season. Your support would be much appreciated for this important game.

Best
