The Brewers look to bounce back from the 3-1 league defeat at home to Barton Town on Tuesday evening. We are playing Liversedge who are sitting proud at the top of the table. Quite a mouth watering challenge for the team.
In the game at Liversedge back in September, it was a comfortable 3-0 home win for the Sedge with one of the goals coming from former Brewer Alfie Dean. They currently stand 5 points clear at the top of the table with 2 games in hand on Beverley Town. Their recent form is good with 15 points from their last 6 games played, in comparison, The Brewers have got 7 points. In January, they did lose at Thackley, so they are beatable on a good day.
Our next home game is on Tuesday 17th February at home to Rossington Main. Before then, we are on the road to Parkgate on the 14th. We are still well in the play off race as we are just 3 points behind Barton Town. There looks to be 5 teams going for the last 3 play off places, as Beverley Town look solid in 2nd place. We have a number of games to play against our play off rivals, including our last two games of the season against Sheffield and Handsworth. So I guess the aim now is to stay in the game and see where we stand when we hit the final run in.
There is so much to play for. Keep positive and support the team as and how you can. Did you get a new Taddy bobble hat yet ? Home and away hats now available.
Best
Keith.
