Wrap up Warm !

Tuesday evening marks game 19 of our NCEL league season, this is the half way point of our campaign. For me, it has been a remarkable campaign to date, and most importantly, a lot of fun for everyone. Strange how success and enjoyment go hand in hand. A lot of work has been done both on and off the pitch, and it has been a real team effort by all concerned, both staff and volunteers. I have been going on about at regular intervals about wanting us to average 2 points a game and that will give us an excellent season. As I write this, we are a point ahead of the game, and that being the hard fought for away point in the 2-2 draw at Beverley Town on Saturday.

As boss Ryan would say, it's a squad game and he is so right. At any point, somebody will step up and make a contribution. That squad will continue to be important as we still have at least seven more games before the end of December. Everybody will have their moment for us to progress. This team has grown up month by month, it's so exciting to see what is still to come.

The league table is now taking serious shape and the teams you would expect to be up there , are. So proud to see The Brewers in the mix and fighting it out with the leagues best. Respect has come back to our club.

Tonight, we welcome Campion to Tadcaster. The Red and Black's have had their last two games postponed due to the weather. They have taken three points from their last six games. Away from home, they have taken 5 points from 8 games played. Another important game for us.

An interesting fact that I came across is that leaders Liversedge have played just 7 of their 18 games to date away from home. For comparison, The Brewers haven't played 10 away from home. With two home games this week in five days, it's time to continue our fine home record. Enjoy the game, and remember to bring the big coat !.
