This Friday evening, The Brewers return home to play their next NCEL Premier game at home to Barton Town. Last season, Barton won 3-1 at Tadcaster, whilst away from home, The Brewers went down 2-1. Barton Town were to finish the league in 14th place, 10 points behind The Brewers. They have been members of the NCEL Premier since 2011.

This season, The Swans have had a good start to the season and are in 8th place with 23 points from 16 games played. The Brewers are 4 points behind them but have played one more game. Their leading goalscorer is Thomas Waudby with 13 goals in all competitions.

In the midweek games, Thackley missed the chance to go 2nd in the table as they went down 3-0 at Frickley. Beverley Town's great form continued with a 2-1 home win against Bottesford Town. They are now in the play off mix in 7th place and there is now a 4 point gap formed below them in the table to Barton Town. In the final game of the night, Campion beat Goole AFC 1-0 at home to continue their rise up the table. The Vikings remain at the bottom of the table.

The Brewers will be looking to put last week's last minute penalty kick defeat at Thackley behind them as they look to move up the league table.
