On Tuesday evening 7.45pm, The Brewers return to their NCEL league campaign against AFC Goole. They will be hoping to build on their fine FA Cup win last weekend away at Boro Rangers. The prize for that win being a great home draw in the next round of the cup at home to Macclesfield FC, 3pm on Saturday. The Brewers are currently in 10th place in the very early league table, but depending on the results of the other 5 games being played on the night, a win could take them up to 4th place in the table.

In January 2024, the teams played out a 3-3 draw at Taddy Infront of a crowd of 186. Our goals were by Norman 2 and Kay. In the game at Goole back in September 2023, The Vikings came out 2-0 winners.They were to finish the season 18th out of 20th, 8 points ahead of relegated Maltby Main. They recently went out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 home defeat by Melton Town. In the previous round, they had had a fine 3-2 win away at Lincoln United.

On Saturday they played a home NCEL against Penistone Church behind closed doors. They had a good win against the league leaders 3-2. That earned them their first points of the season from their 4 games played. There is a familiar face in goal for Goole as former Brewers keeper Joe Wilton is their current number 1. With their recent run of 3-2 games, there could be a few goals on Tuesday evening. Hope to see you there.
