On Tuesday evening, we again attempt to play our home league game against Maltby Main. The Miners are in a battle against the drop to NCEL Division 1 as they currently stand in bottom place in the table, only one team is due to be relegated. In the game at Maltby in October, Norman and Crosby gave us a 2-1 win.

On Saturday afternoon, they had a disastrous 1-0 home defeat against Eccleshill United. They are 4 points behind Pickering Town who are in the last safety place. The Pikes have a game in hand on Maltby, so The Miners will be desperate to get a win at Taddy to give them a chance to stay up. A loss will put them down.

Emley are now NCEL champions and the play off positions are looking pretty stable with Garforth Town, Albion Sports, Rossington Main and Campion in the frame. Thackley might have a claim to getting in there, but they will need 2 wins and results to also go their way elsewhere. Hallam and Penistone have small outside chances still to be involved.

This game is the start of 3 home games on the trot as we play Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday. We go into the game with our recent unbeaten league record intact and it would be an achievement if we can carry that on to the end of the season. See you Tuesday.
