Can we make it 3 unbeaten ?

On Saturday afternoon, The Brewers make the relatively short trip to South Elmsall (WF9 2EQ or South Elmsall Rail Station) for their latest NCEL game. They will be looking to build on their fine 2-2 away draw at leaders Silsden on Tuesday evening. They will be trying to make it 3 games unbeaten in this game. The Blues had a fine result last time out as they beat Rossington Main 4-0 at home. This is Frickleys 3rd season in the NCEL after relegation from The Northern Premier League and like The Brewers, they have found the NCEL challenging as they look to rebuild and go again.

Last season, The game at Frickley was a scoreless draw whilst at Tadcaster, The Brewers lost 4-2. This season at home, The Brewers lost 3-1 back in August with their goal by Luca Bolino.

Frickleys leading goalscorer is Robert Guilfoyle with 11 goals in all competitions. He had a brief period at Taddy in recent years. Other connections are keeper Harrison Davison-Hale, manager Tom Claisse and Marcel Chipamunga. Frickley are 2 points and 3 places ahead of The Brewers in 12th place in the league table with both teams having played 22 games of the 38 game season. An away win would therefore leap us above them in the table. In the last 2 seasons, they have finished in 17th and 15th place. In the relegation places, Goole AFC look to have been left behind as they are bottom of the table with 9 points. The other place is currently occupied by Winterton Rangers. They have 15 points from 19 games played, so are 8 points behind The Brewers but have 3 games in hand.

The weather forecast is OK compared to recent weeks, so the team would welcome any support that you can give. If you can't attend, you can follow on Taddy Twitter X.

Best
