We are pleased to announce the signing of striker James Burgess.

Leeds born James brings with him a wealth of experience having previously played for Guiseley, Farsley Celtic, Frickley Athletic, Shaw Lane Aquaforce Wakefield FC, Horsforth St Margarets and most recently, Garforth.

This season in 24 appearances for the “Miners” he has scored 14 goals.

We got to see James in action at the end of 2020 in a hastily arranged friendly against Garforth when he tested shot stopper Michael Ingham on several occasions.

John Deacey and Andy Monkhouse have "wanted to sign the centre forward for some time and his track record /experience will be a bonus to the strike force."

James is looking forward to the challenge; “The Northern Premier East is a good league - I am looking forward to playing for Tadcaster and helping them move up the table”
