On Saturday we open our FA Cup campaign with old rivals Frickley Athletic KO 3.00 pm

This famous old club, established in 1910, had its heyday in the Alliance Premier league (which is now the National League). They now play in the Northern Premier South East Division despite their close proximity to us geographically.

They are manged by Craig Spink and played Pontefract in a pre season match loosing 1 – 0 – sound familiar?

The address is
Westfield Lane Stadium
Westfield Lane
South Elmsall
WF9 2EQ

By Car
From the A1 at Barnsdale Bar turn off onto the A638, towards South Elmsall for 2 miles. At the roundabout continue straight on towards South Elmsall. Turn left at the traffic lights before the Barnsley Oak pub and continue on Mill Lane for 1/2 mile. Turn right at the end of Mill Lane down the hill to then turn right the lights on the T junction Then immediately left up Westfield Lane passing the Pretoria club and a parade of shops on your left. The ground is signposted on the left straight after the cricket club and before the business centre.
There is a large grassed car park adjacent to the ground as well as plenty of roadside parking on Westfield Lane.
By Bus/Train
Trains run to South Elmsall every hour from Leeds/Wakefield or Doncaster. The ground is approx. 10 minutes walk from South ELmsall Bus and Railway stations which are adjacent to each other

Curtis Woodhouse has great respect for the home side;
“It’s no secret that from a financial viewpoint we want to win this match - £2890 for the winners in this round! That aside, the magic of the Cup is something special and we want to go as far as we can.
Frickley are a good side and we need to get over the knocks and bumps from Tuesday nights league game and be ready for Saturday.
Its been a hard start to the season and as we go to press two of our squad are bearing scars from Tuesday night – Alex Wyles and Lebrun Mbeka – I am hopeful they will be Ok by the weekend. We will have some light training on Thursday and talk tactics afterwards”

Admission Charges are as Follows
