Dan started with us at the midway point of the 2019/20 season at a time when injuries to the back four were causing problems. Since then, we have seen him develop season on season to become the first-class central defender we know today and a Club Captain who leads by example.

At the time of joining The Brewers he was dual registered with Harrogate Town where he had captained their Under 23’s team. He made his first appearance for Taddy on New Years Day 2020 away to Pickering where we won 0 – 3 despite Ioan Evans and Andy Milne being absent. Our match report included a brief mention.

Although a natural central defender, Dan is equally adept on either side and his turn of pace has been a bonus along with his throw ins.

In this most difficult of seasons his performances have been the back cloth to the pride which has re-emerged as the team battled valiantly. He was the natural leader to take on the captaincy when Andy Monkhouse took over as our manager at the turn of the year.
