Stevens was an ever-present in between the sticks for The Brewers in the title winning season but the stopper has decided to leave the club due to a recent promotion at work which will mean Gary working certain Saturday's each month.
The former Highworth Town keeper kept sixteen clean sheets and had a big hand in promotion being achieved.
Stevens said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff and most of all, the fans of Tadcaster Albion for what was an amazing season last year."
Stevens went on to explain his reasoning and express how much he enjoyed his time with Taddy.
"Due to work commitments I am unable to commit to the extra travelling required for the Evo-Stik next year.
The year that I had with you all was absolutely the best of my short career and will live long in the mind."
Finally, Stevens wished the club the best of luck for the future.
"Good luck to all of the players, staff and most of all the owners who deserve everything that they have dreamt about. Dream club."
We would like to thank Gary for his hard work across the season and we wish him all the best for the future.
