Meet TAFC’s new first-team manager...

We are extremely pleased to announce Paul Quinn as our First Team Manager with Steve Waide stepping up from 1st Team Coach to Assistant Manager. Nelly Sanderson will continue as Goalkeeper Coach. Michael Ingham Club Captain and First Team Goalkeeper will also form part of the management team. Paul will take official charge on Tuesday 12th November and will be in attendance at our game v Marske on Saturday.

We wish to place on record our thanks to Steve, Michael and Nelly for their hard work and assistance since the season started and for taking the reins the last two weeks.

Paul is a highly experienced manager having managed over 400 games, which includes his time as manager of Brighouse Town and Shaw Lane. Paul secured promotion with Brighouse in 2013/14 to the Evo Stik Division 1 and also recorded their highest FA Cup and FA Vase run.

Most recently Paul was part of the management team at Ossett United where they were County Cup Winners v National League side Guiseley and also secured a place in last season’s play offs.

Paul’s playing experience includes Ashton United, Mossley, Liversedge, Emley and Brighouse Town.

Paul works full time for the English Football Association.

Paul said “I am delighted to have been appointed as manager of Tadcaster, this is a club I have admired from a distance for a number of years and when the opportunity presented itself it was not a difficult decision to accept.

Naturally when a manager leaves any club there is a period of transition and I would like to personally thank Michael Ingham and Steve Waide who have done a brilliant job over the last few weeks. I am really looking forward to meeting the players next week and helping the club to build on a positive start to the campaign.”

Everybody at Tadcaster Albion extends a very warm welcome to Paul and his family and wish him and his management team the very best as they lead our club.
