Tadcaster Albion has agreed terms for the transfer of nineteen-year-old striker Bailey Thompson to National League North Guiseley AFC for an undisclosed fee.

Six-foot four Bailey signed for the Brewers in June last year from Tranmere Rovers where he played for the Under 18’s. He had already had his fair share of Lancashire clubs in the various junior age groups having represented Bury and Accrington Stanley before turning out for Blackburn Rovers Under 15’s.

Bailey played in every game since joining us, including the friendly matches, and had netted seven times in league and cup competitions.

Paul Quinn summed up Bailey’s time with us;

“When we met Bailey in the summer the objective was for him to transition from Tranmere into the senior game and help him progress higher up the ladder. In return Bailey has helped the club in both the league and cup competitions with his first-class attitude as his performances have become stronger every week. We would have loved for Bailey to complete the season with Tadcaster but under current circumstances this move makes sense for everyone involved. Myself, Steve Waide and everyone at the club wish Bailey every success”
