Second Half Master class sees Taddy complete the comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in the WRCFA Premier League Cup.

Tadcaster/i2i went into the cup match against Scarborough Athletic full of confidence after last week's 13-0 annihilation of Bolton Woods at the i2i Stadium.

However this was to be a much tougher test with The Seadogs naming no fewer than five first-team players in their starting eleven.

Taddy had the first chance of the evening with a goal mouth scramble from a corner which was eventually cleared by Scarborough as storm Barney barged in making it extremely difficult playing conditions for both sides.

Mitch Hamilton then came close with 13 minutes gone as the attacker beat the full-back but pulled his shot wide of the mark.

It was the home side however who scored the opening goal of the match after 21 minutes played. An in-swinging corner from the left-hand side was headed in by Harry Holden.

Just a minute later and it was 2-0 making it a quick-fire double for Scarborough as Connor Campbell looped a header over the advancing Charlie Murphy after a lofted ball into the penalty box.

Looking for a way back into the match and a goal before half-time, Mitch Hamilton came close to doing just that but his bobbling shot was pushed away.

There was to be one final piece of action in the first half as striker Alfie Beestin was sent clean through on goal and appeared to have his arm pulled back however he didn't go to ground and in the end the attack fizzle out as Scarborough got bodies back.

Half-Time: Scarborough Athletic U21's 2-0 Tadcaster Albion (i2i Academy)

The Taddy/i2i youngsters then came out in the second half and absolutely dominated proceedings.

They came close to pulling a goal back a minute into the second half as Marcel Chigumira lashed a shot just wide but in the 54th minute Mitch Hamilton did pull a goal back after the Scarborough goalkeeper spilled a cross and the attacker finished well.

With 15 minutes to go it was still completely one-way traffic and Taddy deservedly equalised as left-back Fraser Hansen coolly side-footed into the bottom corner & the comeback was then completed in the final minute.

Mitch Hamilton played a superb ball out-wide with the outside of his foot to Fraser Hansen who curled in the perfect cross for Alfie Beestin who glanced into the back of the net for a deserved victory.
