On Saturday Taddy put their league exploits to one side as they entertain Glossop North End in the Buildbase FA Trophy.
This is only the Brewers’ second ever fixture in the competition after making their debut last season. Coincidentally that was against the same opponents as the Hillmen ran out 2-0 winners at Surrey Street before coming unstuck against Evo-Stik Premier side Buxton in the First Qualifying Round.
However the meeting this season is at the i2i stadium which has to make Michael Morton’s side slight favourites despite league positions.
North End currently sit in a healthy third place in the Evo-Stik First Division North with Albion just outside the play-offs in eighth.
In the league meeting at the i2i last season Taddy ran out 2-1 winners after first-half goals from Josh Greening and Conor Sellars was enough to pick up all three points.
But today is all about the Buildbase FA Trophy and the winners will be rewarded with a home tie against Evo-Stik Premier Division side Matlock Town on Saturday 28th October.
Team News: Danny Frost and Michael Ingham both remain side-lined with injury. Goalkeeper Greg Hartley to make his home debut.
