On Tuesday night The Brewers have a night away from league action as they travel to face Goole in the first round of the West Riding County Cup.
In this competition last season, Taddy made it to the semi-finals where they were knocked out by Conference North opposition in Bradford Park Avenue whereas Goole were knocked out by the same opposition, 3-2.
Manager Billy Miller is likely to rotate the squad with Liam Ormsby and Carl Stewart looking to get more match time after recovering from injuries. Also looking for starts will be youngsters Alfie Beestin and Ryan Woodhead who have been in and around the first team squad for the past month as well as playing for the U21’s.
Goole play their football in the Evo-Stik Division One South and have had a mixed start to the season winning 5, losing 5 and drawing 0. Last Tuesday they lost to last season’s NCEL Champions Shaw Lane Aquaforce 3-0.
The County Cup is often an opportunity to rotate and give other players a chance so it’s difficult to predict therefore, I will go for a Taddy win, 2-1, George Conway to get back amongst the goals.
