Tadcaster Albion take on fellow play-off hopefuls Droylsden on Saturday in the Evo-Stik First Division North with both boasting contrasting form.
The Brewers are in a rich vein of form of late after last week’s gritty 1-0 win at Kendal Town extended their unbeaten league run to five matches with four successive clean sheets.
The Bloods on the other hand are desperate for a victory as they are still searching for their first three points of 2018, their last win coming back on December 30th against Ossett Town.
Nevertheless David Pace’s side are still in a strong position sitting in 10th place and three points behind the play-off spots with games in hand.
When the two sides met at Butchers Arms back at the end of September, the points were shared as a stoppage time equaliser denied ten man Albion the win after Tom Corner netted a brace.
Taddy have quietly crept up the division after three wins on the bounce and expectation will undoubtedly be growing amongst supporters as they are one point above Saturday's opponents and two points off 6th place with games in hand on Prescot, Trafford and Clitheroe.
We seem to be saying this on a weekly basis now but Saturday’s game is an important one as another victory could really set the cat amongst the pigeons in the race for play-offs.
However, having said all of that it is still incredibly tight and congested with just three points separating Glossop in 12th place to Trafford in 6th place.
Team News: Michael Morton is likely to name the same eleven that beat Kendal and Glossop.
