Tadcaster Albion welcome fellow play-off hopefuls Colwyn Bay to Yorkshire with a huge three points up for grabs.
The two teams sit side-by-side in the Evo-Stik North table with the Brewers a point ahead having played a game more.
The onus will undoubtedly be on the Brewers to take the game to their Welsh opponents who have a long journey on a Tuesday night but it’s a real opportunity for Michael Morton’s side to solidify a spot in the play-off positions.
Due to the league restructuring taking place at the end of the season, Albion currently occupy a play-off place due to Scarborough being promoted automatically as the best third placed team at the level, as it stands.
Games will start to come thick and fast however so it is going to be a gruelling test for both the players and the management team.
Taddy are in sterling form of late having boasted five consecutive clean sheets and going unbeaten in their last six league outings winning four on the bounce.
Last time out they thumped Droylsden 4-0 with Josh Barrett (2), Billy Whitehouse and Chris Howarth all finding the net.
Alan Morgan’s side are at the beginning of a similar run having won their last two against Goole and Brighouse respectively, also without conceding a goal.
Bay will be looking towards their talisman Astley Mulholland to produce the goods in the final third having netted fifteen times this campaign, the fourth best in the division.
In the first meeting between the two sides this season, Josh Barrett’s 86th minute equaliser saw the Brewers make the long journey back from North Wales with a point.
It’s sure to be a tasty midweek clash!
Team News: Club captain Andy Milne is out injured after undergoing ankle surgery last week. Michael Morton is expected to name the same eleven players that are unbeaten in six whilst notching five consecutive clean sheets.
