Taddy made it four out of five at home after goals from Sellars, Corner and Savory saw the Brewers get back on track against Kendal.

Conor Sellars and Tom Corner put the Brewers in complete control in the first half before a spirited fight back from the visitors saw defender Mike Aspin pull one back.

After taking their foot of the gas somewhat, Taddy defended well as a unit and Aiden Savory made sure of the three points in the 77th minute.

Michael Morton made four changes from the midweek defeat at Goole as Josh Barrett, Joel Dixon, Tom Corner and Pete Davidson all started.

The two teams gathered a feel for each other in the opening ten minutes before Albion executed a devastating counter-attack to take the lead in the fourteenth minute.

Josh Greening turned on the turbo from deep in his own half to burst into Town’s half at serious pace before sliding in the enigmatic Conor Sellars who coolly rounded Will Kitchen and stroked home.

This goal only stroked Taddy’s confidence as they doubled their lead seven minutes later.

A simple throw-in was cleverly flicked round the corner by Greening into the path of Savory, he threaded it in behind for Tom Corner who deftly dinked over the advancing goalkeeper.

Just after the Brewers went two goals up, Doncaster Rovers loanee Louis Jones was forced into making a good save tipping Danny McGahon’s strike over the top.

Albion however continued to control the contest and look extremely dangerous when going forward.

Greening, Savory, Corner and Sellars were all dove-tailing in the final third and were impressing.

Chris Howarth and Pete Davidson were also bossing proceedings in the heart of midfield.

Howarth set up another good chance just short of the half hour mark after letting the ball roll across his body and unlocking space ahead of him.

He threaded it to Aiden Savory in behind who’s shot/cross across goal was agonisingly close to Josh Greening.

The interchanges of passing was a delight to watch in the first half as Greening was inches away from being clean through after a clever Sellars flick around the corner but Kitchen raced off his line to clear.

The visitors half-threatened ten minutes from the break as a dreaded corner kick bobbled around the six-yard box before Tom Corner eventually cleared.

Half-Time: Taddy 2-0 Kendal

Into the second half and Kendal were clearly given a stern word at the break as they flew out the traps.

Richard Seear almost had a clear shot at goal from ten yards but Davidson was in the right place at the right time to intercept.

The Brewers’ first real chance of the second half came ten minutes in when again, Savory’s shot/cross was incredibly close to Conor Sellars.

This chance may have hurt that bit more three minutes later as Kendal pulled one back.

Louis Jones made a good point blank save to keep the away side out at first before Mike Aspin’s skewed shot squeezed in off the post.

Moments after Taddy conceded, Tom Corner and Conor Sellars both pulled up with injuries, not ideal you could say.

Kendal kept asking questions of Tadcaster at the back but Barrett, Milne, Hardy, Dixon and co stayed firm and rode the storm.

Nevertheless the two goal cushion was restored in the 77th minute.

Pete Davidson was a stand-out performer all afternoon in the centre of midfield.

He played the game at his own pace, controlled the tempo, made countless amount of interceptions, worked tirelessly and to top it off he made the third goal.

Davidson was strong to intercept possession before clipping a perfect ball in behind for Aiden Savory who slid through Kitchen’s legs for his seventh goal of the season.

This goal obviously killed the contest after a valiant second half effort from Kendal.

Josh Greening almost added the icing on the cake five minutes from time after another brilliant winding run but Kitchen saved well with his foot on this occasion.
