Manager Billy Miller made just the single change to Saturday's draw with Burscough as Josh Greening was promoted to the starting line-up in place of Liam Shepherd.
Taddy have been somewhat struggling to find the back of the net in recent weeks but have been solid at the back.
However just over 60 seconds on the clock Ramsbottom took the lead.
Damian Green's cross was initially headed on target by Ryan Salmon, Stevens palmed down and the forward was on-hand to slide Rammy into an early lead.
There were huge appeals for offside on Salmon from a number of white shirts but the linesman didn't batter any eyelid.
The home side were clearly the side in the ascendency in the opening stages and they really should have been two goals to the good shortly after.
A Baker cross was cleared which initiated the counter attack and saw several blue shirts flood forward.
A cross from the left was fluffed by Mathew Atherton and somehow struck off target at the back post by BBC's Class of 92 fame Gareth Seddon.
It wasn't long before Taddy worked their way back into the contest as Sellars initially volleyed just over only to score the equaliser less than a minute later.
Conor Sellars let the ball run across his body and sent an absolute rocket into the top corner from 25 yards with his weaker left-foot leaving Charlie Albinson with no chance.
Rammy were looking increasingly threatening as the first half went on and incredibly, Conor Sellars' stunning strike was outdone by Grant Spencer.
Ramsbottom's lead was restored by Spencer who took two touches then unleashed a ferocious strike from all of 30 yards into the opposite corner.
Taddy were struggling to deal with the crosses into the box by Rammy as captain Seddon's volley across goal somehow trickled out for a goal kick.
With just six minutes to go until the break, Rammy did however move further in front.
Ryan Salmon was proving to be a real nuisance as he jumped like his name suggests and flicked a header into the bottom corner.
The Brewers came out in the second half much more confident and demanding about their play as the experience of Jono Greening kept things ticking as ever.
It was his brother Josh who had the first effort of the second half curling a free-kick on target but comfortably tipped over by Albinson.
The Brewers were dominant in the second half but just couldn't find that way through.
For all of Taddy's possession and territory dominance, time was running out.
With ten minutes to go and being 3-1 down, a sense of desperation arose as Taddy pushed hard for a way back into the match.
A flurry of corners saw the visitors edge closer and closer to a comeback.
Tom Corner's header was outstandingly saved on the line by former Man City stopper Albinson.
However, with half a dozen of minutes left Josh Barrett netted his first of the season sliding low into the back of the net after reacting quickest to Josh Greening's corner which kissed off the post.
You could feel the momentum swing at this point and in the dying embers Taddy equalised to surely secure a point.
Josh Grant's searching ball was headed into the air by Andy Milne and latched onto by Tom Cormer who looked to be clearly wiped out inside the penalty area.
However, the attack continued and Adam Baker watched the ball down onto his right boot and volleyed precisely into the back of the net to spark brilliant celebrations.
To summarise, a classic game of two halves.
