On Saturday The Brewers travel to Albion Sports as they look to get back to winning ways and keep the pressure on leaders Handsworth Parramore.
Taddy go into the game on the back of a goalless draw with fellow promotion chasers Cleethorpes Town in an uninspiring encounter at the i2i stadium.
After Handsworth only managed a draw at Liversedge on Tuesday night, this means the gap is now five points. The Brewers however have two games in hand over The Ambers, PLUS, the two sides meet a week on Saturday at the i2i stadium in a clash which could pave the way for either side to push on and claim the title.
Taddy will be looking for an improvement in their performance on Saturday, these are the kind of games that you must pick up three points in if you are going to push on and become champions. It doesn’t necessarily have to be pretty as true champions grind out results.
The Lions currently sit in 10th place in the NCEL Premier Division and a win could see them potentially leapfrog Clipstone.
In their last six outings Albion Sports have taken seven points from a possible eighteen after draws wins against Garforth Town and Parkgate as well as a draw against Clipstone.
The two sides met for the first time this season back at the end of October with Taddy blowing a 4-2 lead to only draw the match 4-4. A hat-trick from George Conway was not enough to see The Brewers to victory as two late strikes from Alex Cusack saw Sports snatch a point.
Team News: Liam Ormsby is the only absentee for the trip to Albion after being taken ill at half-time in the draw with Cleethorpes.
Prediction: Albion Sports 2-3 Tadcaster Albion – With no room for error now, I believe The Brewers will be on the right end of a five goal thriller.
Your postcode for the ground is LS28 5BE.
Elsewhere on Saturday; Handsworth Parramore travel to Pontefract Collieries and Cleethorpes Town take on Armthorpe Welfare.
