On Saturday, The Brewers play the first of 2 home games in 4 days as they play Retford United. The Badgers have won the NCEL Premier league title twice in the last 10 seasons. Last season however was a struggle for them as they finished 20th in the table conceding 137 goals. The Brewers completed the league double over them with a 4-1 away win and a 5-1 home win. They also won 6-1 at Retford in the League Cup.

In the NCEL this season, they are having a better time to stand in 14th place with 34 points from 33 games played. Away from home, they have won 5 and drawn 2 of their 16 games played. Their recent form is mixed with 4 defeats in their last 6 games played, but they have featured in a number of high scoring games. Their leading scorer is Adam Lee with 22 goals in all competitions.

In the game at Retford back in October, The Brewers won 1-0 with a very late Josh Greening goal.
