On Saturday, The Brewers return to their home ground for their first NCEL League game since November 14th 2015. Liversedge are having a tough season and currently lie bottom of the NCEL Premier league with just 16 points from 22 games played. Away from home in the league, they have not won a game this season and have drawn 4 of their 12 games played. It should be noted that they have a lot of games in hand on the teams around them, so all is not lost for them yet.
Their leading goalscorer is Andrew Wood with 7 goals in all competitions, but he joined Thackley back in October. In the league game at Liversedge back in September, The Brewers won 4-0 with goals from Jimmy Beadle, Dan Clayton, George Conway and Adam Baker.
On Wednesday evening, Worksop Town had a 4-3 home win against Retford United after being 3-1 down at half time. This means The Brewers are now 2 points behind Worksop Town but with 3 games in hand. Elsewhere in the NCEL Premier on Saturday, Worksop Town play away at Brigg Town, Cleethorpes Town are at Garforth Town , Bridlington Town are at Armthorpe Welfare whilst Handsworth Parramore are at home to Maltby Main.
The Brewers have won their last 4 league games conceding just 2 goals, whilst The Sedge have played very little in the last few months without any wins, so I will go for a 2-0 home win to keep the title challenge firmly on track.
