On Saturday The Brewers make the trip to Bridlington Town in a tasty looking battle between 2nd and 3rd place.
Taddy go into the game in good form winning their last four matches after 33 days without a game due to the floods and will be looking to keep up their form as we enter the final three months of the 2015/16 season.
Taddy currently sit in 3rd place in the NCEL Premier Division, two points off current leaders Worksop Town (With 3 games in hand) and one point off our opposition Bridlington (With 4 games in hand). A win for The Brewers would see them leapfrog their opponents Bridlington and could also see them rise two places to top spot if Worksop drop points.
The Seasiders currently sit in 2nd place in the NCEL Premier Division, one point off current leaders Worksop Town. A win for Brid could see them go top of the league if Worksop lose to Armthorpe Welfare. They are in outstanding form recently going on an outstanding 14 match unbeaten run. They haven’t lost a game since the 31st October against Pickering Town so it is bound to be a terrific match at Queensgate between two very good footballing sides.
Joel Sutton and Andy Norfolk are the two main threats that Taddy need to watch out for as they have a combined total of goals of 23 for the season.
The two sides met for the first time this season back in September at the i2i Stadium and Taddy were victorious by four goals to one. The score line somewhat flattered The Brewers and boss Billy Miller has gone on record and said that the match against Bridlington was the toughest we have had all season. Former Brewer Lewis Clarkson gave the Seasiders an early lead but a screamer from George Conway levelled things up at half-time. Andy Milne gave Taddy the lead before a late brace from Adam Baker sealed the three points.
Team News: After weeks without any real injuries, boss Billy Miller will have to make changes. Conor Sellars and Matt Heath are both doubts for the trip to Bridlington. Sellars was left out in midweek due to a hamstring strain and Heath had to be taken off after being on the end of a nasty tackle from behind, Andy Milne is set to start his first game since 19th December. Dan Clayton also picked up a slight knock in the win over Pontefract but the converted full-back should be fit for the clash.
Prediction: Bridlington Town 2-3 Tadcaster Albion – Thriller by the Seaside, Josh Greening to strike late on, again.
We are running a coach for the match, but if you are making your own way there the postcode is YO16 7LN. #tadallover
