On Saturday, The Brewers return to league action after their midweek exit of the West Riding County Cup with a trip to Retford United.
In the game at Tadcaster last season, Taddy blitzed the Badgers in the first half after Josh Greening scored four to set up a comfortable 5-1 victory.
In the game at the Jones & Co Stadium last season, it was an even bigger victory for Taddy, winning 6-1, Carl Stewart getting two goals.
The Badgers currently sit in 12th place in the NCEL Premier Division notching up 15 points from 12 games as they get off to a steady start. Their last 5 games has seen them win 2 and lose 3, beating Athersley Recreation 2-1 away and Parkgate 3-2 at home.
Last Saturday saw them bow out of the FA Vase losing 2-0 at home to Loughborough University in front of a crowd of 72.
The one to watch out for will be Brad Kerr who is Retford’s top goal scorer with six goals.
The Brewers will be looking to come away with the three points and keep top spot in the division regardless of the games played column, getting points on the board and solidified is all that can be done.
Manager Billy Miller is likely to welcome back Gary Stevens, Jordan Armstrong and Josh Greening back into the starting line-up after being rested in midweek however Josh Barrett is a doubt after picking up a hamstring knock.
JT Predicts: Retford United 2-4 Tadcaster Albion
It won’t be easy for The Brewers but I am confident we have enough firepower going forward to blow any team away just like what happened against Pickering Town last Friday night. Josh Greening seemed to enjoy playing against the Badgers last season; I’m going for a brace for him, one for Jimmy Beadle and one for Liam Ormsby.
