On Saturday, we play our opening Game in the NCEL Premier League at home to Maltby Main. The league game at Tadcaster last season was a comprehensive 6-0 win for the home team through a Josh Greening hat trick and one each for Vincent Dhesi, Calum Ward and Nick Thompson in front of a crowd of 293.

At Maltby, the game was a 3-2 win for The Brewers with goals from Lewis Clarkson, Danny Grey and a Calum Ward penalty kick in the 90th minute to win the game. The attendance was 102. The Miners have played in the NCEL Premier League since 2004/5 and so are a very established team at this level. In comparison, this is The Brewers 6th season at this level and have always finished 8th or higher, the last two seasons bringing 3rd place finishes. They had a tough season last season as they conceded 119 goals finishing 19th out of 21 teams in the league.

Please come and support The Brewers if you can on Saturday, just £5 for adults. Can we boost the attendance for the game by 10 per cent to get an attendance of 325 ?
