Taddy’s young guns have made a faultless start to the 17/18 campaign winning all four matches conceding just three goals along the way.

Despite taking the first-team job, Michael Morton and Simon Collins are continuing their role with the U21’s also and got off to a phenomenal start beating Campion 13 (Thirteen) – 0 on the opening night of the 2017/18 season.

Casey Stewart and Marcel Chigumira both netted hat-tricks before Piteu Crouz scored a handful in the second half to complete the rout.

Matchday two saw Albion have to work considerably harder to get the three points as another hat-trick was enough to see off Goole 3-1 at the i2i stadium.

The first away match of the campaign was even tighter still and despite the final score, Thackley made the Brewers work hard for the win in dismal conditions.

The Bradford outfit took the lead before Marcel Chigumira drew his side level with a fine left-footed strike.

The two sides were locked level at one a piece before a late double from Kain Rogerson sandwiched in between a long-range screamer from Paddy Wintie made it look a little more comfortable than it was.

Most recently Taddy travelled to face Brighouse and this was their toughest test yet.

Despite having the vast majority of possession, Albion struggled to cause the hard-working home side any real problems until Casey Stewart fired in his seventh goal of the season to break the deadlock.

However the determined Brighouse side bit back almost instantaneously courtesy of a looping header from a free-kick.

Marcel Chigumira then saw his penalty kick saved before eventually scoring what turned out to be the winning goal fourteen minutes from time.

The U21’s are at home on Monday evening when Knaresborough Town are the visitors. Please do come down and show your support. 7:45pm kick-off.
