Jewson launched the competition last April and it was a great success with thousands of entries coming in from across Great Britain. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to vote for the club, it certainly paid off and you will soon see the rewards down at the club with more building work in the planning. We will soon be starting renovation work on the toilets, changing rooms and an additional spectator standing area.
The awards event was held in Coventry last week with TV personality George Clarke presenting the prizes to the many deserving winners.
“It’s sports groups like Tadcaster Albion which help bring people closer together” said Clarke.
“Jewson does great work in supporting them with Building Better Communities. This competition is a fantastic idea and it’s always great to see so many happy faces at the awards presentation.”
“By giving something back to the areas that support them, Jewson is creating brighter futures for those who need it. I’d like to congratulate Tadcaster Albion on their deserved win.”
Andy Charlesworth from TAFC said: "It's really appreciated that Jewson ran a scheme that allows local sports clubs to tap into for some much needed financial support.”
“Obviously winning the award was not possible without the incredible support of the local community & especially our dedicated fans so thank you to Jewson & all our supporters.”
Thank you to everyone at Jewson for giving us the opportunity as well as putting on a fantastic awards event.
