On Saturday, The Brewers are travelling South to Derbyshire to play Staveley Miners Welfare in the NCEL Premier League. Staveley are 18th in the league table this season. Josh Scully is their leading goalscorer with 10 goals in all competitions. On Wednesday, The Welfare lost 3-1 at home to Barton Town Old Boys, that was their 3rd successive league defeat.

In the Staveley game at Tadcaster back in October, The Brewers drew 1-1 with Carl Stewart scoring the goal in front of a crowd of 118. Last season, The Brewers drew 2-2 at Staveley and the home game was won 4-0 by Tadcaster with goals by Nick Thompson, Terry Taylor and George Bissett.

On Tuesday, Brighouse Town won 3-0 at home to Liversedge to go top of the NCEL Premier League by 1 point over The Brewers but they also have 2 games in hand. Worksop Parramore won 4-3 over Nostell Miners Welfare to consolidate their 4th position with games in hand on those above them.
