Aiden Savory, Tom Corner, Casey Stewart, Andy Milne and Piteu Crouz were all on target in pre-season victory over Selby Town.

Aiden Savory kept his place up front for the Brewers after impressing against Garforth Town and he made it two goals in two games after yes you guessed it, two minutes.

After some good direct wing-play by A Trialist, Tom Corner’s driven shot was cleverly guided into the back of the net off the chest of the former Farsley Celtic man.

It was an extremely positive start by Albion and the lead should have been doubled inside the ten minute mark.

One of the two Taddy Trialists was standing out in the centre-attacking midfield position and he showcased his class once again here.

Picking the ball up in his own half, driving forward committing bodies before playing a one-two with Liam Shepherd and scooping a divine ball over the top for Tom Corner to run onto.

Corner then simply squared across goal to Conor Sellars who was kept out from point blank range.

After a lively start, the game then started to ebb and flow with the home side working back into the contest and going extremely close to equalising with a whipped shot striking the underside of the bar.

Michael Morton’s side continued to dominate the ball in large spells looking neat and tidy in possession with Corner and Savory threatening in the air.

Selby had good chances of their own to draw level with a dipping free-kick dropping inches wide as well as forcing Nick Lock to make a good save.

Half-Time: Selby 0-1 Taddy

The Brewers turned up the tempo in the second forty five and really got into their groove.

It was 2-0 eight minutes into the half when Conor Sellars’ free-kick was headed across goal by Andy Milne and forced in by Tom Corner.

As both sides rung the changes throughout the second half, Taddy were in complete control and the goals started to flow in the final fifteen minutes.

Casey Stewart made it three heading into an empty net after Tom Corner won the ball back and fired onto the head of the youngster.

It was one-way traffic in the final ten minutes as substitute Piteu Crouz somehow saw his strike cleared off the line with the goalkeeper beaten.

Nevertheless it was four less than sixty seconds later with captain Andy Milne getting in on the act after turning in Stewart’s low cross from two yards.

Taddy’s promising display was rounded off with a fifth goal four minutes from time with two substitutes combining.

Jake Ellam looked sharp when he came on and it was the former Ossett man who timed his through ball perfectly for Crouz to run onto and drive into the back of the net.
