Tuesday night’s defeat at home against Ossett Town was of course bitterly disappointing but one thing we cannot question is the players’ effort and work-rate.

The lads gave absolutely everything but unfortunately it was just one of those cruel encounters that didn’t reflect how the game panned out. On another day (we know hindsight is a wonderful thing) we could have easily been three goals to the good at half-time.

We like to keep our supporters in the know with what’s going on behind the scenes. With recent injuries occurring and players missing we are actively looking for players to bolster our squad.

We are pleased to welcome Jordan Armstrong back to the club. The full-back was tremendous throughout last season.

We are still adjusting to life at this level but we have certainly shown that we can comfortably compete in this league.

Recent defeats have been down to extremely fine margins and looking at our start as a whole, we are very pleased as it is still congested in the top half.
