We can confirm that the injury sustained to Jake Rose against Garforth Town was a serious one and as a result is likely to miss the whole season.

The injury occurred just five minutes into the pre-season friendly when a Garforth forward tackled Rose from behind leaving him in a heap on the floor.

After trying to run it off for a couple of minutes, it was immediately obvious that it was serious and had to be helped off the pitch by physio Lucy Lendhill.

After seeing a specialist last week there's a good chance that it is the ACL which would rule the midfielder out for the season but for confirmation an MRI scan has been booked.

Rose was impressing prior to the injury but despite the setback, he is continuing to stay positive.

“Of course I’m gutted but I will just have to work even harder and come back stronger” Rose said.

Unfortunately this isn't the midfielder's first serious injury after doing his LCL and meniscus back in 2015.

If history has repeated itself with this injury then it is likely to rule the youngster out for 4-5 months but if it is the worst case scenario with the ACL it will be season over.

We would like to wish Jake a full and speedy recovery and have no doubts that he will come back stronger in the coming months.
