On Saturday, The Brewers play at home to Handsworth Parramore in a vital NCEL Premier league game.

The Amber Parras are 2 points ahead of The Brewers at the top of the NCEL Premier league table having played 1 game more.

They have 7 games left to play, 3 at home and 4 away. Their last game of the season is at home to their ground sharing tenants Worksop Town.

Away from home, they have so far won 13 of their 17 games played and lost just 1, that being at Bridlington Town back in August. The away game at Handsworth Parramore was won 4-1 by The Brewers with 2 goals each by Josh Greening and Adam Baker.

Jon Froggatt and Kieren Wells are their leading goalscorers with 32 goals each in all competitions.

3rd placed Cleethorpes Town play away at Brigg Town on Saturday, Bridlington Town are at home to Retford United and Worksop Town are at home to Nostell Miners Welfare, but it really looks now that it is a shoot out between Handsworth Parramore and Tadcaster Albion.

The title won't be won at the weekend as no doubt there are a few surprises to come, but one team will take a big step towards the title.

I will go for a narrow tense 2-1 win for The Brewers.

Just £5 to watch , please support The Brewers on Saturday afternoon in their challenge for the title.

Keith Handley.
