It has been confirmed that top scorer Joe Lumsden has in fact not suffered a fractured tibia as initially diagnosed.

The forward who has made a real impression in his first few months with the Brewers scoring eight goals, picked up a nasty looking injury in the defeat to Ossett United with fans fearing the worst.

After heading to A&E the next day, Lumsden's leg was put in pot as well as being given crutches however the doctor was somewhat confused with the extent of the injury.

That confusion became even clearer on Friday with the fracture clinic stating that there was no break.

This means that the player is targeting a return as soon as 1-2 weeks. "I'd like to play Saturday to be honest" said Lumsden, however a more likely return is Loughborough on the 2nd October or Wisbech on the 6th.

Taddy are back in action on Tuesday night at Marske United (7:45pm)
