Increased Work-Rate Is The Answer Says Savory

This week we caught up with forward Aiden Savory to get his thoughts on the South Shields performance and the upcoming trip to Clitheroe.

“We were all really pleased to get a point on Tuesday night. South Shields are a top team and not many other teams will take points from them at their place.”

“I thought the performance was good, we were very organised and matched them for the entire game.”

“Our work rate was top notch again and on another night with a bit more luck we could have nicked all three points.”

“The last three performances have been good. I think we have showed great work rate and desire in those performances and just showed that little bit extra from earlier in the season.”

“If we continue to produce those sorts of performances then I think you could say we’ve turned a corner but we have to make sure we do it over a prolonged period.”

“Saturday’s match away at Clitheroe is an important game for us to make sure we continue to build on our recent performances.”

“Each game going forward is going to be important and this one is no different. The atmosphere in the dressing room is positive at the moment so we need to keep that.”

“On a personal level I am pleased with my performances as I felt like my form had dipped previously. I’d have liked to have scored more goals but that will come and if my performances can help the team then that’s the main thing.”

The Brewers are next in action on Saturday away at Clitheroe (3pm)
