Read what the TAFC Directors had to say about the club's first season in the Evo-Stik in their final programme notes of the season.

We knew it was going to be a totally different experience this season for the club.

When you step up a division at any level of the game it is always going to be more difficult on so many levels.

We started extremely well and then the unprecedented amount of injuries played a significant part in how the season played out.

We have however seen a number of clubs really settle into the division in their second and third seasons in the Evo-Stik; we are confident we can do the same and believe next season will really see us establish ourselves as a competitive team with us pushing for the play offs.

For those that have watched us closely this season, you will have seen that in a large number of games we have played very well and been unlucky not to come away with more points than we did.

The Cup Final typified much of our season. We were fantastic and came away empty handed.

Our primary goal at the beginning of the season was of course to keep ourselves in the division and as frustrating as it may have been at times for everyone involved, we have achieved this and can now start to build for next year.

We all felt bitterly disappointed not to come away with a point on Bank Holiday Monday at Scarborough.

We were without nine first-team players and had three regular starters on the bench who were not fit enough to come on and despite all of that we gave it our all and defended heroically for 95 minutes, even though 94 minutes was the allotted time.

One player in particular that deserves a mention is Matt Heath who started for the first time in over a year and was outstanding at the back. He hasn’t lost it!

This week we got the official confirmation that we had passed the recent ground grading inspection which will be valid for a further three years. Basically, this means that the stadium is fit to stay in the Evo-Stik Division One North as well as being eligible in the league above.

We couldn’t have done it without you though so a huge thank you to all of our selfless volunteers that took the time out to come down and help out.

We have a ground we can all be proud of; Dave Wakefield does an amazing job with the playing surface and so much more too. The plans for the new two storey clubhouse are well underway and will be unbelievable for the club and the town as a whole.

From all of us, we would like to say a massive thank you to those that have followed us home and away all season and stuck by the team. It is greatly appreciated and you are a true credit to the club.

We hope you all enjoy the game and have a safe journey home afterwards.

We have some very exciting plans next season and have some fantastic pre season fixtures lined up. See you then!
