This week we spoke to Josh Grant on how he’s found his first season with the Brewers.

“The season has been a very strange one without doubt. We have underachieved massively but I do think injuries to key players have played a massive part.

I think we have shown in patches how good we can be, taking Farsley to penalties in the recent County Cup Final for example.

I can only think of one game this season where we have been out-played to be honest.”

After joining the club in October, Grant has made 33 appearances and has been pleased with his efforts.

“I think my performances have been good overall. With Bazza [Josh Barrett] at the side of me we have created a good understanding and as a team we haven’t conceded many goals but like I’ve said, we all know we have underachieved.”

“I’ve really enjoyed my first season at Taddy, it’s a great club; the pitch is probably the best in the league and the fans turn out in numbers every week to support us even though it has been a frustrating season for everyone associated with the club.”

“With the key players back from injury and a few new additions to the squad, I honestly can’t see why a play-off spot isn’t achievable at least.”

“A win on Saturday is important but we go into every game wanting to win regardless of it being the first or last game of the season.”

You can see if Tadcaster can bow out with a win on Saturday when Mossley are the visitors to the i2i stadium (3:00pm).
