Defender Andy Milne has his say on the Goole disappointment.

“Tuesday night was obviously very disappointing for us all, we went there wanting to win of course and we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, it never is at Goole.”

“The players in the changing room at the end of the game reflected how we all felt, disappointed with ourselves as a whole unit and we know should have definitely done better.”

“It’s difficult to put your finger on what went wrong to be honest, maybe it was just one of those nights, but the players have got to take full responsibility for not picking up anything, we conceded from two set-pieces which was disappointing as we’ve prided ourselves on being able to defend them so far.”

“I don’t think it’s a mind-set thing, we are still a new team collectively, but all of the players have played in this league or higher so there are no excuses.”

“When we do play well we look a million dollars so to speak and knock the ball around the park really well but it’s probably the other side of the game where we need to improve, the ugly side if you like.”

“We need to learn how to manage games a little bit better but I am confident that it will all click into place and certainly get stronger as the season goes on but at the minute, I understand it’s frustrating for the fans and the management that we aren’t able to put a consistent run of results together.”

“We’ve got to make our home games count definitely, they are an area where we will look to exploit teams and pick up maximum points so we’ll definitely go into the game today with that in mind.”

“From a defenders point of view I hope it’s a little less dramatic than our last encounter at home, I’d take a clean sheet and a 1-0 win!”
