This week we asked defender Andy Milne about going out of the FA Cup, how important is it to bounce back against Prescot and more...............

On last week’s FA Cup defeat to Colne…..

“Everyone’s disappointed to be out of the FA Cup, I thought we started the game really well, felt like we were in control moving the ball quickly, we were creating chances but got punished late on in the game on the counter attack, but that’s football sometimes.”

“If we are going to take a positive from the result, hopefully it will allow us to concentrate more on our league campaign with fewer distractions however we are still aiming for a run in the FA Trophy this year.”

Did the missed chances concern you?

“No not at all, we aren’t worried that we missed a number of chances against Colne, our strikers scored a lot of goals against Ossett so we all know that it’s not a problem, it was just one of those days in front of goal I think, on another day they would have been put away with no problems at all.”

How important is it to bounce back today with a positive result?

“It’s very important that we bounce back today against Prescot, we need to start putting some consecutive wins together, obviously with it being a bank holiday we’ve got two games in the space of two days so if we can gather some momentum here then it will put us in a nice position come the following Saturday.”

How does it feel to be Captain of Tadcaster Albion?

“I’m really proud to be captain of this club, it’s my fourth year here and I am really enjoying my football so hopefully we can deliver something at the end of the season.”
