You’ve asked if the Captain of Chickers is making a return, so we asked the man himself.

“I’m looking forward to the coming season, I felt last season was a learning curve.

Getting out of the NCEL was a huge achievement and one I’ll never forget but coming into the Evo-Stik showed the hike in class, a lot can be learned on and off the pitch and I feel that has been reflected in the pre-season transfer activity.

In the nature of football we come to love players and management but we understand that managers and players move on.

I have enjoyed the time with Billy, Matt and Richard and wish them all the success in their future ventures.

Onto the coming season, well it’s one to get excited about for sure, the new management team are an exciting prospect, there’s no doubting that they will stamp their style on the team and bring a new approach.

The i2i management team have made amazing strives with young hopefuls and success has lead to players becoming professionals.

The knowledge Mikey and Sy bring is invaluable and I feel it will bring a youthful relaxed atmosphere to the dressing room but also bring an exciting style of play.

I feel the new signings bring some stability and experience along with goals. I believe we need to push for the play-offs now and as a fan our contributions can only help.

It’s been humbling to see players, supporters and management ask for the Captain back and I feel it’s the right time to start lifting the noise in the i2i again.

Our club is known for our support so now is the time to show that we mean business. It’s a dream as a supporter to have owners who want to live and breathe the day to day running of the club and with the owners we get to live every second side-by-side.

I’m grateful for the work they’ve done for our club so if donning a suit and signing songs help then count me in.

It’s now time to get back to where we belong and that is fighting for promotion.

I say bring it on!"
