We are delighted to announce the signing of Pete Davidson from Farsley Celtic.

Davidson becomes the fourth new signing after Jason Stokes, Danny Frost and Sam Akeroyd all put pen to paper earlier in the week.

At 27, Davidson has a vast amount of experience to his name after featuring for North Ferriby United and Guiseley in the National League before joining Scarborough Athletic and lastly as aforementioned, Farsley Celtic.

The central midfielder had a brilliant season for Celtic last campaign after being instrumental in two trophy wins.

Davidson was actually part of the side that beat the Brewers in the West Riding County Cup Final back in April after a penalty shoot-out.

He then went on to get his hands on a second piece of silverware after helping his side to win the Evo-Stik First Division North Play-Off Final beating Ossett Town.

"I'm very happy to have signed for Tadcaster Albion" stated Davidson.

"I spoke to a few players who told me what the club was all about but as soon as I met Mikey & Si they really sold the club to me which made it an easy decision."

"I had offers on the table but the draw of Tadcaster was too much to turn down" stated the midfielder.

Manager Michael Morton feels the new man boasts invaluable experience at this level and brings great balance.

"If we want to be successful this season we need players like Pete in our squad."

"He has been around these leagues for a while now and he understands what is needed to be successful."

"After watching him last season and speaking to him this weekend we knew he would fit into our way of playing straight away."

"He can play the number four or number eight role which will give our midfield great balance."
