27-year-old Metcalfe, who has recently featured for Kettering Town, joins the Brewers bringing a vast amount of top quality experience after having spells at Wigan Athletic and Bradford City in the Football League.
The forward-thinking midfielder is also a well-known figure in non-league football after enjoying spells at Harrogate Town, Scarborough Athletic, Ossett Town and Harrogate Railway.
“I’m looking forward to getting started with Tadcaster” said Metcalfe.
“I’ve recently come back to the UK after my contract ended in China. I’ve known Mikey and Si for a few years and spoke to Yoz [Bryan Hughes] who works with them at i2i who spoke very highly of the club.”
Albion boss Michael Morton expresses his delight in capturing the services of Metcalfe.
