We are pleased to announce that striker Joe Pugh has been retained for next season.

The former Doncaster Rovers youngster scored three goals in his fourteen appearances for the club including a brilliant free-kick against Brighouse Town on New Year’s Day.

Pugh, who scored five goals for Staveley in the Northern Counties East League in the latter part of the season after signing on a dual registration deal, also recorded two assists for Taddy.

“I’m happy to have signed with Tadcaster again” said Pugh.

“Mikey & Si have made it clear what they expect from me this coming season and it’s sure to be exciting for the players, fans and all involved at the club.”

“I had offers to go elsewhere but personally I think Tadcaster was the best place to be.”

Michael Morton on the news:

“Having seen Pughy over the years we know what he’s capable of. If he can replicate his form at Doncaster Rovers for Tadcaster then he will be up there with the top scorers in the league.”
